Join your host Rick Brennan and co-host Judy Sims in this informative, funny and sometimes outrageous podcast as they explore the wonders of the Atypical brain and Neurodiversity. We will tear down society’s obsolete stereotypes and learn how to turn your so-called limitations into a superpower while dismantling the notion that you have to think and act a certain way to be successful. It’s time to own who you are, take pride in your uniqueness and together we will re-define the new normal.

Rick Brennan

Rick Brennan is a retired corporate executive, leadership consultant and new author whose lifelong battle with learning disabilities, anxiety and cognitive dysfunction lends him a unique perspective.  He spent 35 years occupying top executive positions in the Canadian healthcare and pharmacy industry, at one time responsible for up to $4 billion in annual sales across 2500 pharmacies.  He is recognized as an outstanding leader, known for his out of the box style, expert team building, and unorthodox demeanour.  He was educated at James M Hill High School, Miramichi NB, Saint Thomas University, Fredericton, NB and Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec.  Rick has also written a book about his experiences and lessons he’s learned, titled The Atypical Leader.

Judy Sims

Judy Sims is a serial entrepreneur who started with a small sandwich shop in Edmonton, Alberta.  She successfully grew and sold a gourmet catering company, and found her passion in comedy.  That led her to become a consultant, where she opened comedy clubs and did troubleshooting all over North America.  Judy then moved into the development and booking of talent, and created Corporate Comedy in Western Canada, where she played a key role in developing many major artists in the course of her 38 years in the entertainment business.  In 2007, she rebranded her agency as CallBack Corporate Entertainment Inc, and it provides entertainment for corporate functions, specializing in stand up comedy.  Through her friendship with Rick, she realized that she was also Atypical, and that a lot of her success as an entrepreneur was due to her unique perspective.
