Life can be tough for undiagnosed NEURODIVERGENTS or what i call ‘Atypicals’

It may feel like the odds are against you like you can never get ahead.

That’s because we’re living in a world created for typical brains.

We are just as capable of wild success, getting there just looks a little different.

That’s why The Atypical Leader was started, to help you embrace what makes you different and thrive!

  • To help mid to high-functioning Neurodiverse and Atypicals recognize their skills and provide simple and easy tools to maximize their potential.

  • To show that Atypicals/Neurodiverse are more suited for leadership positions than today’s stereotypical executive

  • To help other Atypicals turn their challenges into skills and their uniqueness into powerful tools as they move towards self-awareness

I’m not a Psychologist or a Neurodiversity expert, I’m just a guy who learnt from my struggles how to turned my so-called limitations into skills, my unique perspective into a practical wisdom, learned to value people and understand the power of a team.

What I bring to you in this website, Podcast and book, “The Atypical Leader - Harnessing the Power of Neurodiversity.” Is simple, practical and a common sense approach to understanding your present environment, its rules and bias and how to maximize your potential in a world built for others.

Atypical individuals are often defined as having an approach and perspective different from the typical populations and although this is true, I’ve taken the Atypical concept much further.

The people I described as ‘Atypical’ are those (like myself) who have struggled with countless limitations and challenges throughout their lives, causing them to see life and business through a different lens and developing skills & a perspective unique to them and different from typical thinkers..

They are individuals with mostly undiagnosed multiple neurological conditions but who don’t fall solely into one particular neurological condition, like Dyslexia or ADHD but overlap on to multiple conditions.

As a result, each person has a different mental foot print, each with corresponding skills and perspective.

For me, after decades of dealing with my own challenges, countless hours of research, and a hell of a lot of self-reflection, I have written a book called ‘The Atypical leader - Harnessing the Power of Neurodiversity.

I’ve become committed, to helping other Atypicals turn their challenges into skills and their uniqueness into powerful tools as they move towards self-awareness.

As I began to understand who I was, I allowed my atypical brain to guide my actions, I surrounded myself with people who had what I lacked, got organized, learned to simplify, empower, motivate and trust. While failure taught me to be creative, accept risk and not to worry so much about always pleasing the boss.

The results, were astonishing, personal accomplishment piled up, my teams were continually the highest performing business units in the company, achieving world class employee engagement scores.

It was success after success, sometimes achieving what seemed impossible.

I believe, that all Atypical’s have special talents capable of achieving results that typical thinker can not.

This is what “the Atypical Leader” is about, helping you finding those skills, nourishing your perspective and allowing you to be more than you ever thought possible.

So let’s together, uncover these superpowers and unleash them onto the world.
